Our mission statement

Global Action is a non-profit, volunteer-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated to promoting international cooperation and developing diplomatic skills among young people.

Founded on the ideal of an inclusive and sustainable diplomacy, the organization works to bring new generations closer to the world of international relations, stimulating a deep understanding of global dynamics and geopolitical challenges.

Through educational projects, such as the flagship Diplomacy Education program, Global Action offers educational paths focused on diplomatic practices and international negotiation, with the aim of training future leaders capable of dialoguing, cooperating and representing collective interests in global contexts.

Our programs

Diplomacy Education® is the first project officially launched by Global Action in January 2018, at the Farnesina in the presence of the then Minister Angelino Alfano. Each year, the project involves around seventy Embassies and International Missions in Rome, as well as numerous international organizations, such as the United Nations (WFP, FAO, IFAD), IILA and the European Commission Representation in Italy. During the first five editions, the project involved more than 5000 Italian high school students, together with students from developing countries, who participated through scholarships offered by our partners. Thanks to our visiting program, international students can join the project through the participating embassies. The project is delivered in five languages: English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.
In 2020-2021 Global Takes Action (GTA) was born as a new initiative of Global Action officially recognized as a parallel event to the All4Climate – Italy 2021 program. In collaboration with the British Embassy in Rome and the Future Food Institute and under the patronage of the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS), GTA aimed to analyze some of the goals set in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through an inclusive and proactive perspective, involving 100 students from all over the world online. In 2022, the initiative was again presented as ‘Global takes Action – Sustainable Day’: the event supported by Acea SpA saw the participation of over 70 high school students who challenged each other in an advertising campaign aimed at young people and on how to strengthen their knowledge and awareness of sustainability.
